Description

Unleash the full power of your 2017–2025 L5P 6.6L Duramax with our high-performance DPF delete pipe. Expertly engineered to remove restrictive factory filters, this upgrade significantly lowers exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs), enhances turbo spool-up, and sharpens throttle response. Featuring mandrel-bent construction for optimal exhaust flow, it allows your diesel to operate more efficiently and freely. Ideal for off-road use, this pipe delivers improved power output and reduces long-term maintenance demands.

Expect to see a significant increase in fuel mileage. If your DPF is plugged up your probably averaging about 13-14 mpg. More or less depending on the severity of the restriction. After deleting the DPF/CAT expect to get a combined mileage of 18-19 mpg.

  1. It removes the need to service the DPF at regular intervals (cleaning, replacement)
  2. A DPF delete will remove the possibility of a DPF failure which could cause expensive diesel repairs
  3. Due to less exhaust backpressure, the DPF delete increases exhaust flow and therefore increases the performance of your motor!
  4. Paired with an ECU remap, the DPF delete is proven to increase power and torque for all vehicles

What Is a DPF and Why Is It Used?

A Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is part of the emissions system found on many modern diesel vehicles. Its job is to capture soot and particulate matter from the exhaust before it exits the vehicle.

Depending on driving habits, operating conditions, and mileage, a DPF system can gradually become restricted as soot accumulates. Over time, this may affect how the vehicle operates and how often maintenance is required.

Common signs associated with DPF-related restrictions can include:

Frequent regeneration cycles

Warning lights or reduced performance modes

Increased exhaust back pressure over time

Maintenance or replacement considerations on high-mileage vehicles

About DPF Replacement Components

DPF-related exhaust components are typically intended for specific use cases such as off-road applications, racing vehicles, export markets, or as part of a complete emissions system service or replacement process.

These components are designed to work with compatible exhaust configurations and should only be installed and used in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Who Should Consider This Type of Product?

Off-road or competition vehicle owners

Vehicles used in controlled environments

Export or non-U.S. applications

Customers performing emissions system service or replacement

Important Notice

Products in this category are intended for off-road, racing, or closed-course use where emissions laws apply. They are not represented as street legal, emissions-compliant, CARB-compliant, or legal for use on public roads unless explicitly stated.

DPF delete, CAT delete, race pipe, or related diesel exhaust products may remove, replace, disable, or alter emissions-related components, including but not limited to DPF, catalytic converter, SCR, DOC, EGR, sensors, or related factory systems. Compatible tuning, calibration, or supporting modifications may be required to avoid engine codes, limp mode, regeneration issues, or drivability problems.

Professional installation is recommended. Buyers are responsible for verifying vehicle compatibility, local regulations, emissions requirements, sensor configuration, exhaust layout, and any required tuning or supporting modifications before purchase and installation.

Performance gains, sound changes, airflow changes, temperature changes, fuel economy changes, reliability results, fitment, and drivability results may vary. No specific performance gains, fuel economy improvements, or long-term reliability results are guaranteed.

DPF Delete & Race Pipe FAQs

What is a DPF delete pipe? +
A DPF delete pipe is an exhaust component designed to replace or bypass the factory Diesel Particulate Filter section on compatible diesel vehicles. Product design and included components vary by SKU, vehicle platform, exhaust layout, and emissions configuration.
What is the difference between a DPF delete pipe and a CAT delete race pipe? +
A DPF delete pipe relates to the Diesel Particulate Filter section, while a CAT delete or race pipe may relate to the catalytic converter section or a combined emissions-related exhaust section. Some products replace multiple factory components. Always check the product title, fitment table, package list, and installation notes before ordering.
Do DPF delete products require tuning? +
Compatible tuning or calibration is typically required when the DPF, catalytic converter, sensors, or related emissions components are removed, replaced, disabled, or altered. Without the required supporting calibration, the vehicle may trigger warning lights, engine codes, limp mode, regeneration issues, or drivability problems.
Are DPF delete pipes street legal? +
DPF delete, CAT delete, and race pipe products may alter or disable factory emissions-related equipment and are generally intended for off-road, racing, or closed-course use where emissions laws apply. They are not represented as street legal, emissions-compliant, CARB-compliant, or legal for public road use unless explicitly stated. Buyers should check applicable regulations before purchase and installation.
Will a DPF delete increase horsepower or torque? +
Horsepower, torque, throttle response, towing performance, and exhaust gas temperature results are not guaranteed. Results vary by vehicle condition, tuning, installation quality, fuel, turbo setup, exhaust configuration, supporting modifications, and use case.
Will a DPF delete improve fuel economy? +
Fuel economy changes are not guaranteed. Any change depends on tuning, driving style, load, gearing, vehicle condition, tire size, exhaust configuration, and supporting modifications. No specific MPG improvement is promised.
Will a DPF delete trigger a check engine light? +
It may. Removing, replacing, disabling, or altering DPF, CAT, SCR, DOC, sensor, or regeneration-related components can trigger warning lights, engine codes, limp mode, or drivability issues without compatible tuning or calibration. Always verify the required supporting calibration before installation.
Is a DPF delete the same as an EGR delete? +
No. A DPF delete relates to the Diesel Particulate Filter section of the exhaust system, while an EGR delete relates to the Exhaust Gas Recirculation system. Some vehicle builds may involve multiple emissions-related components, but each product should be verified by its own fitment, package list, and tuning requirements.
Can I install a DPF delete pipe myself? +
Installation difficulty varies by vehicle and exhaust layout. DPF-related exhaust products may involve rusted hardware, heavy exhaust sections, sensors, clamps, flanges, tight underbody clearance, and required tuning or calibration. Professional installation is recommended.
Does every DPF delete kit include the same parts? +
No. Package contents vary by vehicle and SKU. Some products may include a single race pipe, while others may include clamps, hangers, adapters, sensor provisions, gaskets, or related hardware. Always check the product photos, package list, and fitment notes before ordering.
What should I verify before buying a DPF delete or race pipe? +
Verify your year, make, model, engine, emissions configuration, exhaust layout, pipe diameter, cab and bed configuration, sensor setup, tuning or calibration requirements, included components, and applicable regulations before purchase.
