Description

This high-temperature silicone hose, designed for use within a range of -40 to 250℃ and compatible with Ford F250/F350 7.3L Diesel models (1999-2003), is constructed with a 4-layer silicone material that prevents cracking or splitting unlike factory rubber boots. It can withstand pressures over 100 PSI but is not suitable for oil or fuel transfer. The hose is intended for use only with OEM steel charge air cooler pipes, not compatible with Dordan brand or other cheaper steel pipes, and comes with high-torque spring-loaded T-bar clamps for a secure fit.

Designed for Heat Resistance and Long-Term Durability

Why Upgrade to a Silicone Hose Kit

A silicone hose kit is intended to replace factory rubber hoses in areas exposed to elevated temperatures and regular thermal cycling.

Compared to standard rubber hoses, silicone materials are known for maintaining structural stability and flexibility over a wider temperature range, helping support consistent system operation over time.

Considerations with Factory Rubber Hoses Over Time

Rubber hoses may harden or lose elasticity as they age

Prolonged heat exposure can accelerate material wear

Hose deformation may affect sealing at connection points

Aging hoses often require closer inspection or replacement

What Drivers May Observe After Replacement

Improved durability in high-temperature areas

More consistent hose shape and fitment

Reduced likelihood of leaks caused by aging materials

Greater confidence in overall hose condition during routine use

Proper installation and correct hose routing are essential for long-term reliability.

While silicone hose kits do not increase power on their own, they help support stable engine operation under demanding conditions.

Why Replace Hoses as a Complete Kit

A complete silicone hose kit provides matched materials and sizing across all hose connections.

Replacing hoses individually can leave older components in place, while a full kit helps ensure uniform material behavior, simplifies installation, and reduces compatibility concerns.

When a Silicone Hose Kit Is Commonly Chosen

Vehicles undergoing intake, intercooler, or cooling system service

Replacement of worn or heat-affected factory hoses

Preventive maintenance on higher-mileage vehicles

Applications where durability and material consistency are a priority

Important Notice

Products on this site are for off-road/racing use only and are not legal for public roads where emissions laws apply.

Professional installation recommended. Removing emissions equipment (DPF, CAT, SCR, DOC) requires deleting related sensors and a compatible tuner to avoid engine codes.

Performance gains may vary—no guarantees.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Silicone Kit? +

A silicone kit is a collection of silicone hoses designed to replace the factory rubber coolant, vacuum, or intake hoses in your vehicle. These kits upgrade critical fluid and air pathways with more durable, heat-resistant silicone components.

Why replace factory hoses with silicone? +

Factory rubber hoses deteriorate over time due to heat, oil exposure, and pressure cycles. Silicone hoses are far more resistant to cracking, swelling, and hardening. They provide better reliability, prevent leaks, and maintain proper fluid/air flow throughout your engine's life.

Will silicone hoses improve performance? +

While not a direct power adder, silicone hoses ensure your engine's cooling and vacuum systems operate optimally. They prevent failures that can lead to overheating or boost leaks, maintaining consistent performance and supporting other modifications.

Are silicone hoses just for modified or race cars? +

No, they benefit any vehicle. Even daily drivers experience hose degradation. Upgrading to silicone is a smart preventative maintenance step that enhances reliability, improves under-hood appearance, and can prevent roadside breakdowns.

Do silicone hoses require special clamps or installation? +

We recommend using high-quality constant-tension clamps or the provided upgraded clamps. Regular worm-drive clamps can cut into silicone over time. Installation is straightforward but may require draining fluids for coolant hose replacement.

What types of silicone kits are available? +

Common kits include coolant hose kits (radiator, heater, bypass hoses), vacuum line kits, intake coupler kits, and power steering hose kits. Some are complete engine bay replacements, while others target specific systems.

Can I install a silicone kit myself? +

Yes, with basic mechanical skills. Coolant system kits require proper coolant draining and refilling procedures. Vacuum and intake kits are generally simpler. Always consult a service manual for your specific vehicle and torque specifications.

How long do silicone hoses last compared to factory rubber? +

While factory rubber hoses typically last 5-10 years, quality silicone hoses can last the lifetime of the vehicle under normal conditions. They resist the ozone, heat, and chemical exposure that causes rubber to degrade.

Do colored silicone hoses perform differently? +

No, the color is purely cosmetic. All quality silicone hose materials, regardless of color, offer the same excellent heat resistance, flexibility, and durability. Choose colors to match your engine bay theme or for easy system identification.
